Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and any work you hire J&S Vacaville Insulation Services to do. When you use the site, ask for an estimate or approve a job, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you book.
If a written estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract controls for that job.
What we do
We're an insulation contractor in Vacaville, CA, and we work in Vacaville and the cities around it. Our work includes attic, wall and crawl space insulation, blown-in and spray foam insulation, insulation removal, air sealing and vapor barriers. The home page lists our services and the cities we serve, and our About page tells you more about our crew.
The information on this site explains how the work usually goes. It isn't a quote or a promise about your house, because every attic and crawl space is different until we've seen it.
Estimates and pricing
We give free in-person estimates with no obligation. Your price is set in the written estimate we give you after we've looked at your house, and that estimate says what work is included.
Some conditions only show up once the job is open, such as old insulation that's wet or full of droppings, hidden gaps that need sealing, or damaged framing. If we find something like that, we stop and tell you what we found and what it would cost before we do any extra work. We don't charge for added work you haven't approved.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delivery and conditions found on the job can move the schedule, and if that happens we'll call you as soon as we know.
On the day of the work, we need clear access to the attic hatch, crawl space or walls we're working on, and a clear path through the house. Please keep kids and pets away from the work area. For spray foam jobs, you and everyone in the house need to stay out until the re-entry time, which is when it's safe to come back inside. The foam maker's instructions set that time, and we'll tell you what it is before we start.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, call us as early as you can. If we've already ordered special material for your job, the written estimate says whether any of that cost is yours to cover. Any cancellation rights California law gives you still apply.
Payment
Payment is due as stated in your written estimate or invoice, which also lists any deposit and the payment methods we accept.
If a payment is late, we may hold off on scheduling more work until the balance is paid, and we may use the remedies California law allows to collect what's owed.
Our work and warranties
We stand behind our work. If something about the job we did doesn't look right to you, call us and we'll come back out and look at it.
Insulation, foam and barrier materials carry the maker's own warranty, and we pass those warranties on to you as the maker offers them. Our workmanship coverage is whatever your written estimate or contract states. Beyond what's in writing, and to the extent the law allows, we don't make other warranties, spoken or implied.
Our work doesn't cover problems we didn't cause or weren't hired to fix, such as roof leaks, plumbing leaks, pests, existing mold or moisture, or damage that was there before we started. If we see one of these while we're working, we'll point it out to you.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we're responsible for damage our crew causes while doing your job. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost use of a room, higher utility bills or delays caused by things outside our control.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. Nothing on this page limits rights you have under California law that can't be waived.
Using this website
You may use this site to learn about our services and contact us. Please don't copy its content for commercial use or try to interfere with how it works.
We try to keep the site accurate, but it may have errors or outdated details. Links to other websites are there for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what those sites say or do.
If we disagree
If you have a problem with our work or a bill, call us first, because most problems get settled faster that way than any other. If we can't work it out together, either of us can take the matter to the courts in Solano County, California.
California law governs these terms and any work we do for you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the current one. Changes don't affect a job you've already approved in writing unless we both agree to them.
Questions about these terms
If anything here is unclear, call us at (707) 452-3285 or reach us through our Contact page, and we'll explain how it applies to your job.
